GIS Technical & Bid Writer + WordPress Website Designer

Writing for the GIS Industry, by someone working in it.

Software documentation, user manuals, training materials, and bid responses for GIS companies. Fifteen years of working with GIS products and the teams that build them — so the work doesn’t need a learning curve.
Services I Offer

Three Areas of Work.

Three groups of services. The GIS work draws on industry background. The WordPress and design work draws on years of doing it.
GIS Technical & Bid Writing
Software documentation, user manuals, training materials, and bid responses. For GIS companies and the teams responding to GIS tenders.
Graphic Design & GIS UI
Interface design for GIS-centric software applications. Plus corporate presentations, event collateral, and product mockups for clients in any industry.
WordPress Design & Development
Custom WordPress websites. Theme customization. Ongoing maintenance and support. For small and mid-size businesses across any sector.

Fifteen years inside the GIS industry, applied to the work it actually needs; writing, design, and the web.

Fifteen years working with GIS software — building products, documenting them, and writing proposals to win contracts to deliver them. The writing and bid work draws on that background. The WordPress and graphic design work is what I’ve taken on alongside it, over the same period.

The full version of how I work and what I've done is on the About page — written for people who like detail before they commit.

How I work

A process that respects your time and your judgment

1

Listen and scope

Every project starts with a short discovery call — usually 30 minutes — to understand what you’re trying to achieve and what the work is really for. By the end I’ll send you a written scope: what’s included, what isn’t, what it costs, and how long it’ll take. No surprises buried in week three.

Build with you in the loop

Whether it’s a WordPress site, a bid response, or a deck, you see progress at agreed checkpoints — not just at the final reveal. You’ll know where things stand at every stage, with time to course-correct rather than discover something off at the end. Feedback rounds are built into the scope, not treated as extras.

Deliver and stay available

Projects ship on time, properly documented, and ready to use. After delivery I stay available for revisions, follow-on work, and the next round — most of my work comes from clients I’ve worked with before. You’re not abandoned at handover.
Our expertise

Have a project in mind?

Tell me what you’re trying to achieve. If it fits what I do, I’ll say so — and if it doesn’t, I’ll usually be able to point you toward someone better placed.
