Three services. One practitioner. Related more than they look.

Technical writing, WordPress development, and graphic design — three disciplines that grew out of one career rather than three separate freelance practices. Most projects need one. Some need two. A few need all three. This page helps you figure out which fits your project, and what working across the services looks like in practice.

Responding to a
Tender or RFP

You are putting together a bid response for a gis-related project, or a technical proposal for any complex software work. You need someone who can read the rfp, draft the technical sections, and stitch the whole document into something procurement teams will actually score well.

Documenting a
Software Product

You have a gis application — new or existing — and need the documentation set built or rebuilt. User manuals, admin guides, training materials, quick-start guides. Possibly several of those for several user roles.

Building or
Rebuilding a Website

You need a new wordpress site built from a proper brief, or your existing site has grown unevenly and needs rebuilding on better foundations. Or you have a site that works fine but no one is taking care of the routine maintenance.

Visual Materials
for a Launch or Pitch

You have a major presentation coming up, an event you are preparing for, or a product you are about to launch — and you need the slide decks, the banners and signage, or the product mockups designed to a professional standard.

A Project that Needs
More than One of These

You have a project where the writing, the design, and possibly the website all need to come together. A new product launch with documentation, marketing materials, and a microsite. A bid response that needs strong visuals as well as strong prose. A rebrand that touches the website, the presentations, and the supporting materials

Three groups of services, in more detail

If you would rather see what each service group covers in full, each has its own dedicated page with the specific deliverables, how a project typically goes, and who the service is for.
User-End & Project Management Documentation

GIS Technical Writing

Documentation and proposals for the gis industry, written from inside it. User manuals, admin guides, training materials, technical proposals, and the supporting documents that surround a project.
Complete Website Management Services

WordPress Design & Development

Wordpress sites built to last, and kept that way after launch. Custom websites, theme customisation, ongoing maintenance, site migrations, and the work that keeps a site healthy long after launch day.
Designing Interfaces for GIS Applications

Graphic Design & GIS UI

Design for what your business needs to make visible. Gis application interface design and broader graphic design — presentations, event collateral, product mockups, and marketing materials.
Empowering Your Brand Journey

How the three services grew from each other

01.

The Writing

The writing came first. Fifteen years of technical writing for gis software — building documentation, training materials, and bid responses for a single industry. That career taught me how products actually get used, what evaluators look for in proposals, and where words alone fall short of what a document needs to do.

02.

Then Design

The design work grew out of that. Bid documents needed diagrams that prose could not produce. User manuals needed illustrations that showed what the words described. Designing those visuals became its own discipline, and eventually a service in its own right. The ui design for gis applications came from the same place — years of writing about how those interfaces are used taught me where they help users and where they fight them.

03.

Finally WordPress

Wordpress came in later, as the natural medium to build sites for the same clients i was already working with. Fourteen years of wordpress development on top of the writing and design work — three disciplines, one career, with each one informing the others rather than competing with them.

What multi-service work looks like in practice

One project sits at the centre of the multi-service idea. A 200-page technical proposal for a uae government client. The bid was successful. I then designed the interface for the resulting application, wrote the user and administrator manuals, produced the training materials, and delivered the kick-off and closure presentations.

One project, every service, with the writing, design, and visual materials produced from a single shared understanding of what was being built.

Not sure which service fits?

Tell me what you are trying to do. If one of the three services fits cleanly, i will say so. If the project needs more than one — or if a different specialism fits better — i will tell you that too.

Let's Talk.
